DU students fashioned a human chain against the maltreatment by Myanmar military on a marginal assembly Rohingya Muslims in Rakhaine state of the country. On Monday, said students formed a human chain in front TSC in the University campus. Above six hundred students joined in the programmed under banner of “Dhaka Bishwabidyaloy Paribar”.
Students of Du seek UN and world community to take step to stop the killings and exposed to surround the embassy of Myanmar in Dhaka, if the governments don’t take any stroke to impede the genocide.
Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddque, Vice chancellor, Arts Faculty dean Prof. Dr. Begum Akter Kamal, Business Faculty dean Prof. Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam and proctor Prof. Dr. Amzad Ali articulated harmony with those issues. A bulk of organizations including Dhaka Bishwabidyaloy Paribar, Slogan 71, Cultural Society and Mime Action also articulated harmony. Professor Mosharraf Hossain said, ‘Though Myanmar is continuing genocide on Muslims of Myanmar, the international community is totally soundless. United Nations urged Bangladesh to open its border instead of taking any action to stop the killings. It is abominable.’
